Every day is different, and every script is different, and every site is different. With responsibility for everything that is not an actor’s performance or what they wear, duties range from creating special effects for high profile, high liability, and high risk actors, managing budgets, location logistics, legal clearances, responsibilities towards actors agents and the public, structural safety versus visual performance, executive decisions as to specialist contracting, fake guns, explosions, action vehicles, sets and environments, strict and inflexible deadlines, lowering of budgets and problem solving at all levels. Working within and sometimes managing large teams, formal jobs like design, drawing and construction management are coupled with adaptation and improvisation around factors such as overseas coordination or unforeseen changes to schedule, location, or budget.

The work is distinctly interpersonal, and uniquely varied.
